Chapter 22: Fall of an Ally

The clash between the good giantesses Eris Morgan and Samantha continue as they both take on the giantess Mimete using their elemental abilities applied in their weaponry. Eris open fires at her target using her electric Plasma spheres. Mimete shields herself from all the assault letting her guard down as Samantha takes a gallant step forward stance with her elemental soul of Marezinia spear at its full charge.

Aima: Boss… don’t look at the flashing lights. It’s not good for you.
Arthur: Oh… yes. (Shields his eyes.)

Samantha forwards her spear at Mimete with a yell as a strong mass of light energy fills up the area and sends Mimete backwards but not falling to the ground.

Mimete: Dammit, you… (a strong gust hits her from below) EYAAAAAHHHH!!

Down on the ground Pedro keeps his arms wide as he produces winds and blowing towards Mimete’s clothing causing her to move like sails of an ancient ship. From another part of the clearing Andre opens fire with his Soul of Darcos fire balls and shooting Mimete’s hair like a flak cannon with its shells bursting all over her head. Each of his shots seem to disrupt her sight and stays on her guard from all elemental attacks.

Strong winds coming from Pedro below, electrical plasma bolts hitting her coming from Eris, strong light energy from Samantha with her spear and non stop fire balls from Andre hitting her head.

Police are alarmed with the attacks and are astounded over the clash as they watch. Many people have taken pictures, video records with their phones. Calls have been made to the chief of police, the mayor and Fort Mitchell. In the patrol division Capt. Benjamin Wilson orders a soldier to deploy an MQ-9 ‘Reaper’ to be sent for visual confirmation. Col. Malcolm is notified immediately.

As Mimete is being pummeled by elements it eventually makes her even madder and charges at Eris. Having anticipated that she might do it, she cease fires grabs Mimete and slams her down on the ground. Arturetta just watches nearby as Eris had her down on her knees.

Eris: You will have to do better than that, ya hussy! (produces a large Plasma sphere) THIS IS FOR MY BEST FRIEND!!

She stands as she hits her chest with a large glowing Plasma sphere. A loud deafening scream echoes all over the city as she is electrified by Eris, finally giving all she’s got. Samantha is also compelled to do the same action by stabbing the earth next to Mimete. A strong bright light stuns her for a bit.

Andre: ALRIGHT! YOU LADIES RULE!!
Pedro: I’ve never seen them fight like that during a spar.
Andre: Samantha can really use her elemental powers wonderfully. As for Eris over there… sis sure has style.

Eris: (panting) I don’t care if I kill you. I always wanted to do that to you for your sick twisted ways.
Samantha: My spear may blind her temporarily.
Eris: I just hope Arthur wasn’t watching.

Nearby under a tree shade Arthur remains behind Aima’s back with his shades on. Aima had her tech shades on as she watches the action unfold between the giantesses.

Aima: I’m glad you didn’t see that strong bright flash, boss. It’s best that you hide behind the trees.
Arthur: [Damn. All that light show can give me seizures.]
Aima: But it’s not over yet. I hear something approaching.

In the air the unmanned ‘Reaper’ is making a flyby and makes a visual of what is happening in the park. Many people in the patrol division are amazed of what they are seeing, including Col. Malcolm.

Reginald: Who are those women? I think they just brought down the target.
Benjamin: I’m sure that is Ms Armstrong standing there while the one with the ponytail is the same giantess trying to protect her. As for the other one… well. I don’t think I’ve seen her.
??? : She sure looks ravishing with that dress and brandishing a stick.
??? : It’s called a spear! Helloooooooo…
Reginald: It’s amazing how they just defeated her using bright lights. Especially that woman who just slammed her on the ground then… shocked her.
Benjamin: Your orders sir?
Reginald: Commence transmission to all patrol units.

The captain patches through to all units on patrol around the city.

Reginald: Attention all patrol units Alpha, Bravo, Delta, Omega and Zulu. This is your commanding officer Reginald Malcolm. Proceed to area C-952. Remain vigilant and do not attack the giantesses fighting against Mimete Hanyu. You are hereby ordered to provide ‘supporting fire’ in case the target Mimete resists. Your target is the giantess in the yellow trench coat. This is my direct order to all units counted for. Malcolm out!
??? : And this time, the colonel issued a direct order.

Back in the park Eris and Samantha are staring down at Mimete’s unconscious body after they have inflicted a lot of damage upon her. Arturetta slowly steps forward, standing alongside them.

Arturetta: Is it… is it over?
Eris: I’m not sure. This woman can really block our attacks but all our elemental powers may have harmed her enough.
Samantha: The witch can really be a tough opponent.
Arturetta: Shouldn’t we search her?
Eris: Good idea. It’s best we drag her out of the area before she…

Mimete: Recovers?
Eris: What the shell!?
Arturetta: ???

Arturetta steps back as she is escorted by Eris. Samantha points her spear directly but Mimete takes hold of it. She is unable to apply Soul of Mazerinia into the spear since she already used up all her energy. Eris also tries to do the same with her Divine Friendship but the rapier failed to produce properly. Mimete stands up once again.

Eris: (tries to reproduce the rapier) No… NO!! IT CAN’T BE!!
Samantha: Our elements have been used up. It takes time to fully charge in this modern era but in the Land of the Dragons our energies can recharge in less than an hour.

Mimete: Such a pity you dimwits have gone far enough. Good thing my KV:480 was able to withstand your elements.
Eris: You’re still going down for what you did to Artie. Cuz I swear I will tear you apart!
Samantha: (Steps forward.) I shall assist you in decapitating her.

Mimete: Your powers have expired. Which means your heroics shall end here.
Eric: You are so gonna have a make over, woman. Cuz I’m placing a lot of eye shadow on that ugly face of yours.

Mimete listens to a lot of sounds coming close. Patrol units from Fort Mitchell are approaching. Vehicles from both military and army have arrived.

Aima: Looks like the cavalry has arrived. Proper timing.
Pedro: I still have my wind elements I can stall her until the armada can move in.
Andre: I haven’t used up my Soul of Darcos yet. We can back them up.
Pedro: Let’s do our best.

Mimete: So… the party finally starts. Right here and right now. In a very wonderful time to employ this thingy I just created. (Takes out a vial) I carry these in such an occasion. Not only that… I brought plenty.

Eris: Oh no! STOP HER!

Eris was able to run towards Mimete after she took out the vial and broke it into the ground. But it was too late. The whole park and the perimeter is being clouded with grey smoke.
Aima: Boss! Cover your nose it’s dangerous.
Pedro: That witch is too much!

All approaching units from police and army are also clouded in smoke covering the whole park as if a large mass of dark nimbus cloud has blanketed the city. At the patrol division in Fort Mitchell they are able to see what is happening but the area is completely grey.

Benjamin: All forces move in. Activate your night vision devices to detect her.

The three giantesses are covering their noses after Mimete broke a small vial. In front of them.

Arturetta: What’s happening? I can’t see!
Eris: The cheater. I didn’t expect this sort of thing to happen.
Samantha: Be on your guard. I’m sure we will be assisted by our friends.
Mimete: I have more of it, losers. It proves my experiments are worthy enough to take you down.

She takes out another vial and breaks it as it doubles the effects off the smoke covering almost the entire park and making it thicker.

Pedro: I’ll handle this, my friends!

Still unable to see the giantesses through the thick grey cloud Pedro was able to blow away much of the gas with his wind elements. As he does his job he hears a strong loud thumping sound. He looks too see Mimete’s enormous boot about to crush him.

Aima: (running really fast) PEDRO!! LOOK OUT!
Pedro: by the goddess…

Aima sprints towards Pedro just in time before Mimete’s giant boot can crush him to the ground. She had her tech shades on and was able to know her foot was going for him. The detective successfully saved Pedro’s life by pushing him hard enough and causes him to land on the grass.

Pedro: You… you saved me!
Aima: It was going for you. I had to… unghh.
Pedro: You are hurt.
Aima: Don’t worry. I’m used to get too much of this.

Mimete: You may have saved that cockroach’s life. But I can still grind you both to the earth like bugs.

Mimete lifts her foot and is about to deliver another blow. Samantha was able to restrain her in time even though she can’t see through the thick grey fog. She struggles by holding her and stop her from crushing Pedro and Aima as they walk away from the clearing.

Samantha: I will not allow you to harm everyone. I’ll put a stop to your reign of terror!
Mimete: Then I will stop you first, you fancy dressed freak!

Pedro watches in horror as the powerless Samantha is being punched and boxed by Mimete followed by kicks, more hook punches and finally slams her down on the ground. Samantha has fallen from the wrath of the giantess witch Mimete. She has been outnumbered and collapses and slowly shrinks back to normal size form.

Pedro: Samantha…
Samantha: I’m ashamed… I… failed… and… I’m sorry.

Aima and Pedro watches from a distance as Samantha is on the ground back to normal form. Her body is out cold as Mimete looks down on her… smiling triumphantly.

Mimete: Not so tough without your sparkling spears, eh little lady. You used up your powers. And I have plenty. Here’s my pop quiz, hot shot. What happens when you have too much energy in your phone’s battery and uses too much? It expires… like what I’m about to do… (lifts her foot above the unconscious Samantha) to you.

Mimete is about to stomp Samantha but Eris was able to follow the sound of her voice and run towards her just in time to save her.

Eris: YOU’RE GONNA REGRET THAT! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Eris angrily clobbers Mimete as she draws her away from the clearing while Arturetta personally picks up Samantha’s body, walks away and puts her down carefully where she is safe right under the trees where Arthur is hiding she places her there. He is joined by Aima and Pedro. He rushes to her side and tries to rouse her.

Arturetta: She nearly crushed her. Eris was able to push Mimete off. Ohh… Samantha (sobbing)
Arthur: Two lives have been saved today. Aima saved Pedro’s life and Eris saved Samantha… from being pulverized.
Pedro: Samantha… my friend. Speak to me.

Samantha remains unconscious after all the beating she received. She is still alive, breathing and well but is out of commission from all the assault. She is laid on the ground as Pedro sadly stays at her side. Arturetta looks at a poor woman who was nearly killed under Mimete’s feet. Eris was able to stop Mimete before she could finish her off. Eris is still furiously fighting against Mimete as she gallantly faces her in a fist fight.

For the fall of an ally and friend they must go on.
