Mina and her Unusual Headphones

My name is Minako Aino. Many of my friends call me Mina for short. It’s been two weeks ago my husband Arthur and I decided to move in to the Armstrong & Eddy penthouse. And we live in our very own pad at the first floor. Well… our real excuse about leaving our previous home is the place was reeeeeally noise polluted with motorcycling dudes and dogs barking at night. It really disturbs my poor little Minami’s nap at and when she sleeps at night. Even poor Artemis is unable to wander around the neighborhood cuz the place is a dog territory.

One day I sought the help from Maj. Link. He is the good friend of my husband and also Arturetta’s boyfriend. It’s coincidence that my hubby’s apprentice is Arturetta cuz she adopted two special Princess Fighters who are also under the care of sir Justin. He owns the grand princess fighter arena.

Maj. Link: If you want to live in a much peaceful and quiet community for your sake I have a pad for rent for you and Arthur. And of course Mina jr will have a much better place to live in cuz Negami can come and visit her niece everyday.

And so at those times Arthur and I have been living in peace and harmony. I even get to be with the princess fighters and Arturetta since we are all neighbors. Detective Samantha Stevenson is also a neighbor since she also lives in that penthouse. And everyone is living happily ever after… like in fairy tales.

But… while I have been living merrily in that place we also know that next to the penthouse is actually the Flammond Estates. Arturetta’s pad is there on the tenth floor. Hubby pays Arturetta a visit so often so I also tag along. I went shopping with him as we took sis along. And then one time as I went shopping with them something in the hardware stores caught my eyes. Custom made headphones.

Clerk: these are our special headphones, miss. They are custom made headphones with special functions. Some of our products are very unique.
Mina: Ohh, they look so awesome with the headset… they can be customized, you say?
Clerk: that’s right. (he opens tiny compartments of the headphone’s left and right.) it comes with an extension mini cable so you can connect to your computer, laptop, MP3 player and even handheld game devices like PSP, Vita, Nintendo DS. Even on this side of the right is the USB output and input cable.
Mina: Amazing! Even my otaku friend Amano would really go crazy for these gadgets.
Clerk: would you like to make an order, miss?
Mina: Is it okay if I make a pre-order for one customized headphone?
Clerk: Of course, miss all you have to do is choose a variety of things that will go with your headset, color of choice and everything.

Then before I could make my pre-order an idea stumbled upon my head cuz it will make Arthur go crazy for it. I plan to have my headphones similar to a persocom’s ears. My hubby was watching this anime recently and reading the manga in his app. It seems his memories for the show came back to him so I got the idea to customize my headset to look like those ears. Finally the day came at last when my package was delivered by mail I signed the delivery form and there it was… my personal persocom headphones.

Mina admires the craftsmanship of how they made her headphones look like persocom ears exactly how she pictured it and tested it. She places it on her head. Its pink compartment opens where the Bluetooth function can be pressed and there are input and output ports at the right. At its left the extension mini cables can be useful when she needs to plug it into a computer. To make sure her item is guaranteed useful she visits the lightning princess Hanasaki Akiko to examine it.

Hanasaki: these are really unique looking headphones you have here Mina. I can’t believe there is a hardware shop that can customize gadgets like this.
Mina: it is yet my early birthday present for me. And of course it comes with rechargeable battery.
Hanasaki: well… you know me I am of course a research and developer I can upgrade the battery and give it 500% capacity.
Mina: Oh Hana thank you. It’s like you gave me a present so early.
Hanasaki: not at all Mina. Anything for a friend.

After several minutes of studying Hanasaki completed her stuff with Mina’s headphones.

Hanasaki: Okay… I upgraded your headphones with 500% battery capacity. (she opens the compartment) as you can see I added a little digital thingy that will show you the percentage of the battery.
Mina: just like in Arthur’s smart phone.
Hanasaki: yes. The Bluetooth function will be strong as you are near any device when you activate it. Also make sure you take off your com link when using it.
Mina: okay
Hanasaki: I also added a microphone. Turn it on as you speak then your receiver will be able to get a clear voice. Another useful function is a voice recorder.
Mina: Oh Hana. You’re the best!

One day later Mina wears her school uniform so it will go wonderfully with her headphones and drops by to see Arthur and Negami at the park. Mina jr is with them. Also in the other side of the park is Arturetta with Kyra and Saya Akina.

Negami: Oh sis there you are.
Arthur: Sweetheart… those headphones look really great on you.
Mina: Thanks. Aren’t they great?
Arthur: Yes… are you currently listening to something?
Mina: I’m about to.

She pulls out an extension mini cord from its left side and connects it into her iPod.

Mina jr: Mommy… dance! Dance!
Mina: Come here sweetie.

She carried Minami in her arms and dancing as she listens to the music in her headphones. Arthur smiled as he watches his wife for she reminds him of a persocom in a show he recently watched. Shortly Arturetta came with her daughters Kyra and Saya who needed a break.

Arturetta: Why sensei. Mina looks so charming and pretty with those headphones Hana told us about.
Arthur: they’re pretty cute too.
Kyra: Sir Arthur they’re really wonderful items.
Saya: It’s really nice that she got an early birthday gift.

Arturetta: Since they are already booked to enjoy one week in the Akina hotel we can pay them a visit.

Minutes later two friends of Arturetta Eris Morgan and Andre came by with their apprentices Hanasaki and Arisha and found Arturetta and the group as they are talking about Mina’s new headphones.

Eris: Wow. I’ve never seen a headphone model like that. I presume my apprentice Hanasaki is able to work on a new gizmo.
Hanasaki: actually sensei I modified them for her when she told me about it.
Arisha: They look so awesome.
Andre: She does look like that Chii girl while wearing them.
Arthur: Oh yeah… I told you about the anime I watched.
Hanasaki: It makes me think that Mina is a humanoid computer wearing them. After all those are headphones.

Arthur: well… my Mina is still the wife I married. And I’m happy to have her in my family and neighbors.
